We are an independent cycle shop that has been based in Shenley Church End in Milton Keynes since 1991, positioned just off the V4 (old A5) in Milton Keynes.

Whether you are considering a new cycle purchase, require any spare parts, or wish to find out more about cycling in and around Milton Keynes, we can get you pedalling in the right direction.

We cater for all cycling disciplines and our store has many models on display from quality brands such as; Giant, Liv, HOPE, Scott, Merida, HOY and more.

Our workshop offers everything from puncture repairs, servicing, wheel builds and much more. All of this is carried out by our qualified Cytech mechanics.

Today’s the day. Sam from @hopetech is on his way with a van full of goodies for us to all see and chat about. He is bringing the Stunning new 912 Bike, the amazing velodrome bike, carbon wheels along with a display to show the manufacturing process of Hopes carbon cranks, there will also be more display boxes but you will have to head on over to check them out. On Friday 13th March between 11am and 5pm and Saturday 14th March between 10am and 3pm @hopetech will be visiting our store with a host of goodies for you all to come along and see alongside what we already have. If all goes well they will be bringing along the Brand New Hope HB 912 for you to see in all its glory, along with one of Team GB's Velodrome bikes that are manufactured by Hope in Barnoldswick. Both are something to behold, we may even have our own @giantuk Glory built in time, this is a little something inspired from Mr Rob Warner's bike. Hope will also be bringing along some #roadbike and #gravelbike wheels and components to compliment our already large stock of products. We will have free Tea and coffee on offer from our good friends at Mk Munchbox, situated just two doors away. On this day 35 years ago Chaineys cycles ltd opened our doors for the very first time in Shenley Church End in #miltonkeynes Originally the shop was owned and set up by Simon and Tony, two great characters who put Chaineys on the map for bikes in and around Milton Keynes, they then went on to Open a store in #leightonbuzzard in 1992 (this was when Matt joined the Chaineys team) and then briefly had a store in Luton for a couple of years from 1993. In 2005 after working for Chaineys for 13 years Myself (Matt) and my Wife (Kate) purchased the shop in #leightonbuzzard , I had been managing the shop for Simon and Tony for 10 years at this point. After 3 successful years we had the opportunity to purchase the Milton Keynes store.....the rest they say is history. A great deal has changed in those 35 years in many aspects of the trade. Innovation has seen bikes improve in so many ways and the choice of parts and bikes has grown to give an unbelievable choice to the customer. This just makes cycling even more fun, what a great way to meet friends and keep fit. One thing will always remain in place, the door is ALWAYS open. We have built a wonderful customer base over the decades, we have some amazing friends we have met through the shop and we can’t thank you all enough for the support, being a small business is all consuming but for the most part its really enjoyable and we love what we do, this is thanks to the great people that come through our door and our amazing staff that we work with every day. We will be holding an open weekend on March 13th and 14th where Hope Technology Ltd will be popping along to showcase some of their amazing products. We will have the all important cake and coffee/tea for all so please pop in and say hi. This build is around £2400 without the labour, grab a bargain for £1700 for what will be an amazingly playful 27.5 hardtail.
